Volunteers Currently Needed
They are currently looking for volunteers at both Drayton and Hallr Woods to help with exciting new projects supported through Awards for All, Woods for Well Being. People are needed willing to support those who maybe struggling with mental ill health, lonely, bereaved and/or otherwise in need of a 'Green Prescription'; offering week day woodland sessions at both venues, cooking a healthy lunch and providing a variety of crafts. Participants (where appropriate) are encouraged to get involved in Community Volunteering Days.
At HALLR WOOD volunteers are needed to help on a long term basis on Wednesdays at Hallr Wood, a woodland project in Charlton Mackrell near Somerton. Help is needed with the vegetable growing area and with woodland management and other projects but there are options to get involved on many different levels including forest school delivery to children and young people.
