Several local residents, including myself have received letters from a new social networking website, Next Door, encouraging them to sign up. The website is very popular in the states and aims to encourage social interaction between neighbours and make people aware of crime in their area.
There are mixed views on this website and we make no claim either way about its usefulness or otherwise. However, if you receive such a letter you might wish to read this before deciding whether to registering or not.
