This month Somerset Council launched its public consultation asking for your input in shaping the budget for the fiscal year 2024/25. Your voice matters in making the Council aware of our collective priorities, and thus informs its decision making in order to achieve what we see as its financial focus for the future.

At a recent Financial Update briefing, it was revealed that significant strides had been made in reducing the budget gap for the current year, now at £18.7 million. Looking ahead to 2024/25, the predicted gap has improved to £78.5 million. Your input can further influence budgetary decisions.
