You are invited to go along and meet the team. Sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30am to 1pm. If you can't make these times please contact Parrett Community Shed and arrange something more convenient. Parrett Community Shed will consider changing times or running other sessions if members ask.
During the sessions you can use the tools in the Shed and instruction will be given if you are not confident. Ideas on things to make will be most welcome, or you can bring your own projects.
If there is demand and the resource is available it will run other sessions at different times.
In case you didn't know, the Parrett Community Shed was set up by members of the community with assistance from the UK Men's Shed Association, with the aim of helping reduce loneliness and isolation in the local area (Langport, Somerton, Huish Episcopi, Curry Rivel, Aller and the surrounding villages). It will provide a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending while making social connections, sharing skills and knowledge, friendship building and having fun. The Shed is open to everyone, young and old (and not just men! Ed)
Parrett Community Shed has a building in Portfield, close to Langport, and the team has been working on it to make it suitable. For directions contact the Shed via links above.
