This year's show, held on Saturday 12th August, was a great success. Entries were nearly three times up on last year. Visitor numbers to the show were also up.
Last year's show had a nice atmosphere, but it was the first show, post-pandemic and then came the long hot, dry, summer.
Many thanks to Mike Mason for photos of the displays before the show was open to the public.
Huge thanks must go to those who helped run the show, assisting the exhibitors setting up their displays and the judges in their marking, they ran the raffle, baked and sold cream teas and cakes, Oh and so much more.
Master of Ceremonies, Steve Allinson (Chair of the Curry Rivel, Hambridge & Drayton Food Bank), who also won a cup for his fruit entries, was presented with a cheque for £300 as a donation to the Food Bank by former Chair of the Flower Show committee, Ann Hembrow.
Steve also presented trophies to:
K. Thornton – Top Vase
D. Lewis – Top Tray
A. Stein – Flower Classes
D. Lewis – Vegetable Classes
S. Allinson – Fruit Classes
L. Colebrook – Decorative Classes
C. Paton – Baking & Homemade Classes
M. Hembrow – Men's Baking Classes
J. Chapman – Painting Classes
I. Drewe & V. Pearson – Craft Classes

The show was judged by all to a great afternoon out and a return to form for a Curry Rivel favourite.
As well as being good fun, it can wonderful for one's mental and physical health. Or come help with running of next year's show.
We would like to attract entries in the young exhibitor's classes, maybe you can think of ways to help with that and other aspects of the show.
