Items most needed – 23rd November 2023

Foodbank volunteers reported yesterday that they had just had their busiest week to date! Sixteen local families sought their help, and therefore the shopping list is quite long this week.

  • Crisps/snacks
  • Tinned ham & corn beef
  • Tins of meatballs & hotdogs
  • Plain & SR flour
  • Cracker biscuits
  • Sweetcorn
  • Pasta sauces
  • Cartons/tins of custard
  • Squash
  • Jars of curry sauce/chilli sauce
  • Tinned curry
  • Shower gel
  • Men's deodorant

A big thank you goes out to all those people who anonymously donate by leaving goods in the various collection points (listed below). You know who you are even if no-one else does. Although those you help cannot thank you personally, do know that they are very, very grateful.

You can take fresh produce to St Andrew's Church on a Wednesday a.m. between 10.30 and 11.30. Non-perishable items can be left in boxes sited for that purpose at the following places:

  • St Andrews Church in Curry Rivel – in the North Chapel
  • in the porch at St Catherine's Church in Drayton
  • One Stop in Curry Rivel – just ask!
  • in the porch St James Church, Hambridge

And finally, a quick reminder of the Craft morning this coming Sunday, 26th November in the Village Hall, 10.30-12.30am There is a competition to name the bear & any tea/coffee sales proceeds are being given to the Food Bank.
