A holiday is the US commemorating the Declaration of Independence in 1776 establishing America's departure from the British Empire, and creating the United States of America.
You can't fail to have noticed that campaigning has begun and, whether you like it or not, it'll be front and centre of every news broadcast or print media headline beseeching you to support one party or another, as is your hard fought for and won right!
You must be registered to vote so don't forget, if you have not already done so, that you will need to ensure you can exercise that right by registering before June 18th at 11.59 p.m.
