Welcome to the community website of Curry Rivel!  Register now for full access.

This website has been designed for, and with, the people of Curry Rivel and we hope it will become your first stop for information, news, views and ideas about the village, so that you can get even more enjoyment from living here or visiting.

Please explore the site, get to know your way around, and then you'll be able to get straight to your favourite sections - whether it's to find a local business, see what's on, find the time of the next bus, or see the Parish Council Agenda or David German's wildlife blog.

We need your help to make it really successful - so let us have your feedback, comments and ideas.  We welcome your contributions too - you will see that many people in the village have given us information and photos, so please add yours.  Contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or post your views on the Forum and you can get others' views direct on any subject.

Many thanks to Lloyd Wilton of Keystrokes and all who have helped to get this far - and we look forward to making it even better.

A Welcome from the Parish Council PDF Print E-mail
Written by Maurice Powell
Wednesday, 02 December 2009 10:49

As sponsors of this web site, the Curry Rivel Parish Council would like to welcome all visitors to our newest asset.  In particular, we would like to express our thanks to those Curry Rivel residents who have worked so hard to get the village web site up and running.

In particular our thanks are due to the prime mover in this exercise, namely Tony Potter, Editor of ‘The Curry Rivel News’, Lloyd Wilton, the Web Site Designer, and Debbie Wilkes, the Webmaster.  We trust that all visitors to this site will find it not only of interest, but also of assistance in ascertaining what is currently happening in, and our future plans for, our very active village.

Maurice Powell
Chairman, Curry Rivel Parish Council.

The photos should be optimized for use on the Internet so no larger that 600 pixels wide and 300kb in size. If you are not sure about these settings or do not have a program to complete this task then use this useful guide and online resizing tool.

Incidentally, we've discovered that the thumbnail version of photos, eg. within articles, are trimmed down.  To see the photo in all its glory, just click on it.

Poll Results

Curry Rivel's Got Talent!
Our recent poll shows that you want to see local talent!  If you'd like to organise 'Curry Rivel's Got Talent', use this website to advertise it.  Second came a quiz - why not join in the Twinning Association's quiz in February.  Third was a Dance Night - so who's up for organising that?

Newsflash

Missing Lead

It has come to the attention of the Parish Council that theft of roof lead has increased in the area. Please be vigilant and report anything suspicious to the police.
