BREAKING NEWS.... Zipwire Declared Foolish Idea and Has Been Abandoned.... At Least Until Next April......

A Zipwire has been installed at the Burton Pynsent Monument for Easter Sunday & Easter Monday..... £10 a ride
After the great success last year of the Monument Open Day, a temporary tower and platform have been erected around the main structure to protect the fabric of the building. The ride is open 11am -- 4pm.
Get set folks and hope for good weather.....
Inside the column there is a spiral staircase leading up to the lantern affording spectacular views.

Please note there are age, height and weight restrictions. All proceeds will go to the maintenance and restoration of the Monument.
