Speeding fines have now risen, with significantly harsher penalties for the worst offenders

We all know that speeding causes accidents but how many of us realise the penalties that are now in force if we are caught speeding?

A recent local case of speeding at 45 mph in a 30 mile per hour stretch of the Langport Road resulted in a fine of £310 plus £110 costs plus 5 penalty points
