Council Lottery – Your groups opinion needed
South Somerset District Council is exploring the possibility of setting up a local Lottery as a way of supporting local voluntary and community groups/organisations to generate new sources of income as part of their ongoing fundraising.
South Somerset voluntary and community groups/organisations would be able to register with the Lottery as a 'good cause' and receive a regular income from the proceeds of every ticket sold where a player signs up as a supporter of that particular 'good cause'.
Signing up to the Lottery for voluntary and community groups/organisations would be free and every 'good cause' would then have its own bespoke webpage on the main Lottery website and would also be supported with personalised and regularly updated marketing materials; again provided at no cost.
Each 'good cause' would receive 50% of all ticket sales from those supporters that sign up to its page.
