Ten teams – comprising both members and non-members – pitted their wits against one another on a variety of topics. With eight main rounds quizmasters Glenys and Steve Allinson challenged participants with questions which tested everyone's knowledge of subjects as diverse as Kings and Queens, Sporting Glories, Screen Idols and Hooray Henrys. No Twinning quiz evening would be complete without the customary Fil Rouge round distributed at "half time" which, this time, involved guessing famous brands when only being given one letter from each name – harder than you might think!
At the end of the evening "The Quiz Kids" were declared the winning team – many congratulations to Ginny and Will Smith, Janet Seaton, Brigid Gunn, Anne Michell and Barry Winetrobe. Their fine achievement was acknowledged by being presented with the Chairman's Cup by Barbara Hamlin, Chair of the Twinning Association, and they also received some well-deserved wine.
The evening was rounded off by a raffle which helped in the Association's fundraising efforts.
