Tom Hanks stars as Captain Chelsey Sullenberger ("Sully") in this edge-of-seat drama based on a true story. In January 2009 Sully and First Officer Jeff Skiles set off on a US Airways flight from La Guardia airport. Three minutes into the flight both the Airbus A320's engines are disabled. Judging that they cannot reach nearby airports safely, Sully takes the decision to make an emergency landing on the River Hudson. All 155 passengers and crew survive and the press and public hail Sully a hero.
However, the experience leaves him with PTSD and he subsequently has to face an inquiry. The investigating board points to pilot error, which could end his career.
Stars: Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney. Directed by Clint Eastwood.

Doors open at 7.00pm; show starts at 7.30pm in the village hall. Refreshments are on sale. Tickets £7 are available at the door. Don't forget we have our new annual ticket for only £50 — saving you £20.
