PARISHES OF ALLER, CURRY MALLET, CURRY RIVEL AND FIVEHEAD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along

Higher Swell, Fivehead — from the junction with Langport Road to the junction with
Langford Lane, a distance of 1800 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 26th November 2018 for 16 days.

Wickmoor, Aller and Curry Rivel — from the junction with Stathe Road to the point where it meets Wick Oath Road, a distance of 2600 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 26th November 2018 for 18 days.

Top Road, Curry Mallet and Fivehead — from the junction with Rock Hill to the junction with Cathanger Lane, a distance of 1300 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 26th November 2018 for 17 days.

Lower Cottage Lane, Fivehead — from the junction with Higher Swell southwards for 140 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 12th December 2018 for 1 day.

Langford Lane, Fivehead — from the junction with Higher Swell to the junction with Langport Road, a distance of 800 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 13th December 2018 for 1 day.

This order will enable Gigaclear to carry out a rolling programme of underground cabling works with clearing of potential duct (pipe) blockages in this road.

The Order becomes effective on 15th November 2018 and will remain in force for eighteen months. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.

This Order is required to facilitate highway works and is necessary for the safety of the workforce whilst carrying out their duties. The restriction shall apply when indicated by traffic signs.
