Transition Langport 2,020 Trees in 2020 campaign aims to plant 2,020 much needed trees to counter deforestation and renew important carbon sinks, whilst also restoring habitats to increase biodiversity.

The South Somerset district has the lowest coverage of trees in the county. Trees not only help sequester CO2 from the air, they also help to remove air pollutants, produce oxygen, reduce flooding, provide food and habitats for wildlife and improve people's health and well being.

You can help fund this important project by donating to the 2020 crowdfunder, https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/2020treesfor2020?utm_term=abBNzPyQg&fbclid=IwAR1XexDDJZEQbX7uS8470kjF26Yr84BIBlE8b9b1fTAj6_7iAM1Svw5LJS8
