Langfest17 takes place Fri 15th — Sun 17th Sept 2017. A weekend festival for people of all ages in Langport and Huish Episcopi , the event promises a wide range of events with something for everyone.
On Fri 15th there is a Walking Carnival with musical accompaniment (6.00pm) followed by Party on the Island with Tango, Live Music and various refreshments (7pm).
Sat 16th sees family workshops (10am-4.pm) offering crafts, dance, drama, storytelling, poetry, treasure hunts, painting by numbers and a glassblowing demo. In the evening (7pm) there is a Point of Echo's Dance Theatre show at All Saints Hall (Tickets: £8) followed by Fanny Hatstand Gig & Pizza in Langport Town Gardens (Tickets £5, kids free) or both events for £10.
Finally Sun 17th offers more family arts and crafts workshops and events (10am-4pm). From 3-7pm there is also a picnic on Cocklemoor, kite flying & games and mummers. The finale is a candlelit regatta on the Parrett.
Lots of events are free — all welcome.
