The trustees of the Curry Woods Conservation Trust are delighted to announce that the Trust is now a registered charity and also that it also now has an active Community bank account.

Achieving these objectives has been slow and difficult in the pandemic and so we are very grateful to those who have made them happen.

We have now written to all those people who made pledges to help with the purchase of the Curry Woods land thanking them and asking them to let us have the money pledged. Much of the money is safely in the bank account. We can now claim gift aid on qualifying amounts and, when all the money is in, we should be about £10K short of the £60K price of the land. This is no mean feat and we thank everyone who has contributed. Plans are afoot for some more fund raising activities and we hope to purchase the land by September, in time for late autumn tree planting.

In the mean time there is more information on the Trust website and if you would like to make a donation please email cwctrust@aol.com or ring 01458250091/07903030533
