After a presentation at the Village Hall the judges visited the school to meet children and show them raised beds with vegetables they had grown.
The judging route took in the High St planters and the winning Front Garden winners.
Then past the colourful Townsend cottages to be briefed on the wild flower meadow at Eastfield, wild life survey and moth trapping.
Then to the CRiB allotment and meeting Young gardener of the year.
The Bp garage was next on the list, the War Memorial and Granny's Garden.
Finally back to the Village Hall for lunch with some of the groups involved in the CRiB year.
