Curry Rivel in Bloom is back... Although we never really went away!

During the Lockdown and beyond, we weeded, planted and watered, maintaining the displays around the village. Instead of working parties, we worked alone or in small bubbles, keeping up the morale of the village.

Curry Rivel in Bloom a History of Success

2019 – After our success in 2018 we were entered into the Britain in Bloom National finals for 2019. We won a Gold medal in the south West in Bloom Cox Cup and Silver Gilt in the National finals.

2018 – We won a Gold award and the Cox Cup for best large village in the South West; in addition CRiB also picked up the Michael McGahey Trophy, for 'exceptional community effort' and were joint winners of the Sargent Trophy, shared with Falmouth for "outstanding effort and dedication" ( see article ).

2017- In our first year of competition we won a silver medal in the large village category ( see article ) and the Landscape award for the transformation of the War Memorial ( see article ).
2017 marked Curry Rivel's first entry into RHS South West in Bloom.

2016- a new community group was created, CRiB, arising from the Parish Plan of 2015. The group is supported and funded by the Curry Rivel Parish Council. CRiB operates as a group to co-ordinate, help, suggest and work towards generating a community spirit and improve the look of the village.
