Following the enthusiastically received recent visit of the Bristol-European Jazz Ensemble (BEJE) to Curry Rivel, they are back this Saturday with musicians from Palestine, led by balama player Zaid Halal. "Spellbinding, otherworldly jazz-folk with a Middle-Eastern edge."
7.30 pm, 5th October in the Old School Room, Church Road, Curry Rivel. £15/£5 concessions. Pay on the door (apologies: the internet payment system is temporarily "down").
More information here.
And on 30th November, BEJE is back again, with the ney flute player Faris Ishaq.
