Curry Rivel Music is delighted to announce that they are back again after the long break caused by the Covid 19 regulations and their first concert of the 2022 Season will be on Saturday 26 March in St Andrew's Church, Curry Rivel, when we welcome the Ruisi String Quartet of Alessandro Ruisi and Oliver Cave, Violin, Luba Tunnicliffe, Viola and Max Ruisi, Cello. They will be playing music including Bach, Haydn and Beethoven and a work specially composed for them by Oliver Leith, which has been very well received by audiences this year.
This Quartet are winners of the Royal Philharmonic Society's award for Young British String Players.
On Saturday 23 April, Meera Maharaj, Flute and Dominic Degavino, Piano will be coming. This is a Countess of Munster Musical Trust sponsored concert.
Saturday 21 May will see the welcome return of musicians from Stetson University in Florida under the direction of their Director of Orchestras, Anthony Hose who is taking them on a tour of Germany, Wales for the Beaumaris Festival and Curry Rivel!
Saturday 17 September will see Blackweir Brass, an award winning Quintet sponsored by Making Music, of which Curry Rivel Music is a member.
The final concert of the season will be on Saturday 22 October when we will welcome Huw Wiggin, Saxophone and Rosanna Rolton, Harp.
All concerts will take place in St Andrew's Church, Curry Rivel. They will start at 7pm and there will be an interval for refreshments.
Tickets cost £12 and will be available at the door.
