RHS Britain in Bloom is a nationwide community gardening campaign to transform cities, towns and villages. Which has been helping people improve their local environment since 1964. More than 1,600 groups participate each year focusing on community action to transform spaces.

2017 marked Curry Rivel's first entry into RHS South West in Bloom. Before Curry Rivel in Bloom (CRiB).
Great interest and participation had been shown in the village Open Garden Days, the last being in June 2016 (Open Gardens is set to be reborn, very much under the umbrella of Curry Rivel in Bloom , in 2019). In 2017 a new community group was, CRiB. The group are supported by the Curry Rivel Parish Council. CRiB operates as a group to co-ordinate, help, suggest and work towards generating a community spirit and improve the look of the village.

Curry Rivel in Bloom (CRiB) as yet, a brief history but fantastic success story.........

2018 — Stunning success in 2018 with a Gold award and the Cox Cup for best large village in the South West; in addition CRiB also picked up the Michael McGahey Trophy, for 'exceptional community effort' and were joint winners of the Sargent Trophy, shared with Falmouth for "outstanding effort and dedication".

Our first year was 2017.......

2017 — In our first year we won a Silver award in the Cox Cup, the large village category and the City of Bath Cup, the Landscape award for the transformation of the War Memorial.
