Red Cross week

Langport & District Red Cross Group is appealing for collectors in the surrounding towns and villages during the 2018 Red Cross Week, Sunday 6 to Saturday 12 May.

An hour or two of a volunteer's time during this week will be warmly welcomed and will help the Red Cross voluntary service running in this area. It does bucket collections in Langport and Somerton and House-to-House in any of the villages in South Somerset where it can find volunteers. As the last remaining volunteer-run Red Cross Centre in Somerset it is very important that it continues to raise our funds to justify it remaining in operation.
The Centre in the main Langport Car Park is open every morning, except Sunday, where it sells donated goods and provides friendship and company over a hot or cold drink and a biscuit (or two!). Donations of items for sale are always welcomed. It also carries a small stock of disability aids for loan or purchase.
