When asked David, who recently celebrated his 79th birthday, said "it is quite a demanding course compared with many and it will take me about 35 to 40 minutes depending on whether I stop to chat to the marshals".
When asked about when he started running he also said "I started running in school cross country and disliked it a lot. Joined a local running club when I first noticed I was having difficulty when I tried to look over my shoulder whilst reversing my car when I was around 50 years old."..... Well there seems to be no reversing gear in his running these days.........
As David also says "running won't kill you, you'll pass out first".....
