Leadership changes at the Parish Council.
Following the recent monthly meeting, the Council has a new Chair (Andy Anderson) and Deputy Chair (Paul Deacon).
Madelaine King-Oakley has decided to step down and the Council unanimously agreed to appointing Andy and Paul to their new roles.
The Council wish to express their gratitude to Madelaine for the enormous contribution she has made to the village and especially for her 'leading from the front' approach to initiatives such as the litter pick, Big breakfast, parish plan, speed watch ti name just a few.
In her final PC Shorts, she said
"After many years of being chairman I felt it was time to step down from that role and I am very pleased that Andy Anderson has been elected as the new Chairman and Paul Deacon as the Deputy Chairman. I'm staying on as a councillor so you can't rid of me that easily!!!"
There are still 9 councillors see here for details
