The Annual Parish Assembly took place in the Village Hall on Thursday 27 April. Representatives from 14 clubs and interest groups in and around Curry Rivel participated (and this was only a proportion of those that exist), each giving a short presentation on their achievements over the past year. They ranged from youth organisations to leisure groups and charities. This proved a truly enlightening experience and demonstrated just how dynamic many of these groups are with a wealth of events, trips and activities. Just goes to show that our village is far from being a sleepy backwater.
