I am Police Community Support Officer Beth UNTHANK 7666, currently based at Somerton Station. I am part of a team of 4 officers within the Neighbourhood policing team, the other members comprise of PCSO Ben MIDDLEDITCH 8048, PCSO Ian ROSS 8483 and our Beat Manager PC Toni-Marie LINES 1709. Between us we cover the following areas: LANGPORT Ward, BURROWHILL Ward, CURRY RIVEL Ward and the ISLEMOOR Ward. Our role is to provide visibly and accessible uniformed patrols and to actively participate in such tasks to reduce anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime On a regular basis we visit schools, commercial premises, attend Community Speed Watch, Neighbourhood Watch Meetings and Beat Surgeries/P.A.C.T meetings to name but a few By our presence and engagement within the communities,our aim is to build on existing relationships with them to work together to provide a problem solving approach to community issues and develop working relationships with our partnership agencies for the successful implementation of such initiatives.
