Back in July this year, ten people representing local groups and associations took part in a short introductory training session on making best use of the community website to report and promote their organisation's activities and events. Using the Primary's School excellent IT suite organisations representing the Parish Council, Rotary, The Village Hall, the Twinning Association, Langport and District History Society, Neighbourhood Watch, Women’s' Institute and the Allotments. They were given instruction and the opportunity to practice on how to take control of their section of the site including adding articles, photographs and forthcoming events.

Lloyd Wilton, who planned and delivered the short workshop, said "I was delighted with the enthusiasm and interest shown and I am sure we are going to see more use made of the website in the future." Parish Councillor, Madelaine King-Oakley said that she was keen to encourage more local groups to use the website and would do all she can to achieve this. "There are still groups and associations in the area who do not realise the potential that the site offers to their members and supporters"

Tony Greenaway, the website Webmaster who organised the event, said that if other groups were interested we would happily put on another session. "The website is a resource that can help further every organisation's aims by raising awareness of what they do and by actively encouraging greater involvement"
