Girl Guiding Changes the World - a recent project.

Girl Guiding UK teamed up with 19 partner organisations, 18 charities and our Guiding friends in the branch associations. The aims of this initiative are to raise awareness of issues that affect us all, from poverty to climate change. In Curry Rivel almost every girl has been involved in choosing and carrying out a project of their choice. We became waitresses at a coffee afternoon, sang for the elderly at Christmas, made up food hampers for the local community, played bingo and sang action songs for a different community group and we presented our work to the local primary school, and this is all within our 100 Years of Guiding.

Groups and meetings:

1st Curry Rivel Rainbows, 5 - 7 year olds, meeting at Sewers Hall, Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30 term time.

1st Curry Rivel Brownies, 7 - 11 year olds, meeting at Sewers Hall, Thursdays 4:30 - 6:00 term time.

1st Curry Rivel Guides, 12 - 16 year olds, meeting at The U.R.C. Hall, Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:00 term time.
