On a bright sunny morning in March, Youth Moves set off for the South West Keep Fit Association AGM in Weymouth. They were performing with a team of 25 adults from all areas of Somerset and were known as the ‘Allsorts’.They danced to ‘Going with a Song’ by Classical Rock, they performed in Spanish dresses and their dance included cartwheels, ribbon work and mixing and moving with the adults. Katie said “It was a really great day, we met other Youth Moves members from another team and were able to dance with them as well as working with the adults in a separate dance.” The applause the whole team received showed that it was all worth all the Saturday extra practices. We were also asked at this event to produce a video to be sent to the central Government to show inclusion of movement with adults and children, which has since been done.
