Local Groups Wildlife Under Secretary responds to NPPF concerns ( NPPF)
Under Secretary responds to NPPF concerns ( NPPF) Print E-mail

Planning and the natural environment is of growing importance in today's economic situation with growing pressures due to population increase and the problems of trying to avert climate change.

You will know from my previous posts on this subject that I wanted to make some comments on the proposed NPPF changes. I wrote to David Heath our MP and also used the Governments web site to send more detailed comments direct to the Government as invited during the consultation period. A number of national organisations had published their criticism of the proposals as had the Somerset Wildlife Trust.  They included the Planning Officers Society whose members will put the new system into operation.Their submission was quite critical of the form and clarity of the document.

I was surprised this week to receive a letter passed on by David Heath from the Undersecretary of State in which he attempted to answer some of the points I and others had raised.

I haven't been able to include it in this article but if you are  interested you can see it on my Blog

at:                        http://heartofthelevels.blogspot.com/

I would be very interested to hear from anyone in Curry who has made any submission  during the consultation period.
