Somerset Wildlife TrustEaster Family FunWith days getting longer, Easter holidays approaching and the kids increasingly wanting to be outside, its a great time to get on your wellies and head outside for some fresh spring air.But if you don't know where to start or what to do, Jessy Emery, Education Outreach Manager, can point you in the right direction with her top 5 school holiday boredom busters.1. Join a Wildlife Watch ClubWildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trust and runs 6 Wildlife Watch Clubs that meet across the county. Clubs get up to all sorts of activities including bat watching, making homes for reptiles, overnight camps and even get involved with hands on conservation tasks. You can find out more about Wildlife Watch and find a club nearest to you here. 2. Join in with a family eventSomerset Wildlife Trust runs loads of great family events all year round at some stunning locations. Why not come along to one and get the chance to take part in some great activities. You can find out about what is coming up and where by going to our events page. 3. Explore a nature reserveWith over 75 to choose from, there is a never ending number of places to discover. But don't just go for a walk, download some great spotters guides, activity sheets and ID charts from the Wildlife Watch website to take with you. Do something to help wildlifeWhether its making a minibeast mansion by the garden shed or bird feeders to hang in the trees, doing something positive to help wildlife is easier than you think. Get involved with Taunton Wildlife WeekFrom 30th May to 4th June Taunton is being overtaken by wildlife enthusiasts. A week of wildlife events is being held across the town and we want as many people as possible to get involved. The week is being launched on Monday 30th May in Longrun Meadows with a whole host of fun, hands on things to do with your family. This will be followed by a huge range of great wildlife events all focused on Taunton. So join in and discover the wilder side of Taunton.
