It is always a good time to visit the field now called East Field. You will enjoy the lovely views across the moors to Hambridge and beyond towards Ilminster. In the Spring there will be many cowslips with their tall yellow trumpets. In the summer months the field is rich in native plants and flowers and you see many Meadow Brown, Common Blue butterflies and the Marbled White. Pyramidal Orchids and Bee Orchid are scattered amongst the grasses and can be seen from the path as can many other flowering plants. The recently laid hedge along Holdens Way is regrowing well and the new hedge planted in the adjacent field is in its third summer and progressing well. After your walk it would be good to hear from you on the Forum page.
