The Mid Somerset Group of United Reformed Churches has entered into a commitment to support 3 charities on a long term basis - two international SOS CHILDRENS VILLAGE, BOTSWANA and ACTIONAID, NEPAL - plus one local, TAH YOUNG PERSONS PROJECT. Besides the Group's annual commitment throughout the year and across the 5 Churches, events are organised to raise funds for these particular charities. This does not exclude our supporting other charities as Cream Teas in the Garden of Orchard View proved last summer. On one of the dry Saturdays, over 40 cream teas were served and over £400 raised for the SHELTERBOX Charity enabling the congregation and residents of Curry Rivel to sponsor 2 Shelter boxes sent to the Philippines in aid relief.
