The Curry Rivel Short Mat Bowling Club, responding to popular demand, announces that there will be Wednesday afternoon bowling commencing on October 5th at 2pm in the Village Hall. As with our mainstream club, friendly help, encouragement and the use of bowls will be available to those new to the game. Club night commences on Tuesday 13th September at 7pm and we look forward to greeting new members. The club had a good season last year and at the recent luncheon trophies were awarded to Mike Ashton, winner of the Singles, Joy Lewis and Desmond Perrett, Pairs winners and to Sheila Harding and Bill Powell, winners of the Harry Rule Pairs competition. This thriving bowls club, established for over 25 years, has the benefit of an electric winding machine for mat storage and a mixed and happy team of players. To find out more about our club, have a chat with our Chairman, Mike Ashton on 251877. |
