For Curry Rivel, Sedgemoor Gardens Club is your local gardening club and offers all gardeners a warm welcome. From September to April we meet on the second Tuesday of each month at All Saint’s Hall Langport (7.00 for 7.30) with parking in the Health Centre car park. Our monthly meetings provide a chance to share ideas and a variety of speakers provide information and stimulation on a range of topics. A monthly competition challenges our gardening skills. During the summer months we arrange visits to a variety of gardens both local and further afield where we hope to get new ideas and often new plants for our gardens. The highlight of our year is the Spring Flower Show held in Long Sutton Village Hall. This year the Flower Show is on 24th of March between 2.30 and 4.30. Entry is free so if you are not already a member why not come along and meet us. There will be a splendid display of daffodils, floral art, vegetables, preserves and photography. Delicious teas are available and there is a raffle with exciting prizes. Programme for December 2011 to September 2012. Monthly Meetings. 13th December Light hearted quiz and buffet supper. 14th February "Unusual ways with Veg." - Dinah Lindon-Critchley. 13th March "Flowers of Central Patagonia." - Hilary Little. From the Valdez to the volcanoes. 10th April "The Georgian Garden." - Sarah Darlington. How Britain became the horticultural hub of the world. 15th May Brimsmore - A discount evening at Brimsmore Yeovil with a topical talk and refreshments. Summer Visits. May Coach Outing (to be confirmed)
