Art Group Print E-mail

"Joining the Art Group was one of the best things I’ve done!"  Maureen Rawles Are you looking for a new hobby – then come along to the Art Group. We are a really friendly group of people who enjoy painting and drawing together. We each do our own thing, be it drawing, watercolours, pastels, acrylics etc. None of us are brilliant, so don’t be put off if you are a beginner, but we are willing to offer advice and help and demonstrations if required. We meet on Monday mornings (excluding bank holidays) in the Village Hall between 9.45 and 12.45. The cost is £2 to include coffee/tea and biscuits. There is no membership subscription – just come along as and when. Trevor Limon, one of our group says, ‘we are a friendly group of mixed talents, using a variety of mediums’. Steve Barlow who joined two years ago says’ I enjoy the camaraderie as well as improving my art work’ and Maureen Rawles says ‘ I was nervous about joining the group but need not have worried, as I was made to feel most welcome’.

We are ready to welcome some new faces in the New Year, whether you are an expert or beginner or returning to art after a break. Drop in to meet us for a chat and a cup of something or alternatively contact Jane Chapman for more information on 01458 250742 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
