At its AGM on Monday 3rd October, Janet Seaton took over from Christine Jessop as Chairman of the History Society.  After the meeting Janet Seaton presented a slide show of some of the photographs that have been donated during the past year.

The next meeting is on Monday 7th November, when Janet Seaton (again!) will be giving a talk on the history of Kelways.  All welcome. Talks are free to members; £2 per talk for visitors.

Meetings are held monthly in Langport Library to listen to a speaker on topics of local historical interest. 

They start at 7.30pm, usually on the first Monday in the month, the exceptions being Bank Holidays, December, July and August when we don't meet. We aim to keep it friendly and relaxed and have time for discussion and questions with the speaker over a cup of tea.

Annual membership of the Society is £10.00 per person. Visitors are very welcome and are asked to pay £2.00 per meeting to help cover costs.
