The Curry Rivel Music Club has just published its programme for the new concert season.
The concerts will be held in September and October 2011, March and April 2012 thereby avoiding the winter months and possible bad weather. All concerts will begin at the earlier time of 7.00pm  and be held in St Andrew’s Church, Curry Rivel. Our exciting programme is as follows:-
Saturday 24 September 2011.   Marcus Farnsworth, baritone with Elizabeth Burgess, piano. Marcus is an award winning young singer, sponsored by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Saturday 29 October 2011.  James Turnbull, oboe with Elizabeth Burgess, piano. James, a brilliant oboist makes a welcome return visit and will play a programme entitled “The Romantic Oboe” including music by Schubert, Brahns and Franck.  Tickets available on the door
Thursday 15 March 2012.  Lauren Scott, harp and Clare Southwood, flute. Lauren is back by popular demand after playing for us informally last year and is joined by Clare, Professor of Flute at the Royal Academy of Music.
The final concert of the season is a very special occasion given by an international celebrity.
Saturday 21 April 2012.  NATALIE CLEIN, ‘Cello Natalie, a world renowned artist, will play a solo ‘cello recital including some of the Bach ‘Cello Suites and that of Benjamin Britten.
There is an interval during each concert for tea, coffee or wine. Individual tickets cost £10; a season ticket just £36.
