This year the Poppy Appeal had particular significance for many people and this was reflected in your kind support and generosity. On behalf of the Royal British Legion I would like to thank everyone who helped us raise nearly £3,000. The exact amount will be confirmed at the end of November. As usual I am indebted to all the businesses which allow us to have collecting boxes, and my loyal team of house to house collectors, some of whom have been collecting in Curry for over 30 years. Inevitably, age and ill-health has depleted our numbers so if any one could help by giving some time next November I would be most grateful. Just get in touch on 251261. Thank you.
