The first edition of the village newspaper was produced in September 1996. The need for a publication which would keep villagers informed about issues and events was identified as the result of a Parish Appraisal Survey conducted by the Parish Council. In the first edition the editor, Derek Seward, summed up the objectives which our village newspaper would be measured against, as follows: • a publication reaching all parishioners, creating interest in the community and bringing people closer together. From the beginning the paper has been delivered free of charge to every household in the parish and continues to flourish through the support of local advertisers, the parish council and its contributors. Postal Subscriptions UK 45p The minimum order is for six months, paid in advance. Contact Jean Willson on 01458 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
